The Tattooing of Minors Act 1969 prohibits the tattooing of anyone under the age of 18 other than for medical reasons (reconstructive surgery or disguising birthmarks) by a registered medical practitioner.

Parental permission does not alter this.

We will, therefore, ask anyone fortunate enough to look 18–20 ish for photographic ID; this means a Driving Licence, Passport, Young Persons Identity Card or Citizen Card. It does not include student cards, Birth Certificates etc.

Please do not bring your uncle’s budgie’s babysitter to vouch for you either!
